Afterschool Art Class for Middle Schoolers: Illustration 101
February 8 @ 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, repeating until March 8, 2023

Wednesdays, February 1-March 8 (six sessions), 3:30-5:30pm
$100 (Members 10% discount); limited to 15 students in grades 6-8
Have you ever wondered how your favorite comic, anime, children’s book, or book cover was created? Learn the FUNdamentals behind the world of illustration in this new six-week course. Starting with the basics of form, light, and space, the course includes students designing posters, book covers, and/or graphic novel pages. This fun and friendly course is designed to allow everyone to discover their own artistic voice, what influences them, and what they’d like to do in the future. Final projects form the basis of each student’s artistic portfolio—a first step towards a flourishing artistic career.
